Mary Jo arrived the evening before, but we were so busy talking and getting setup in our first campground that only pictures that first evening is Mary Jo having some salmon roe for dinner! Most of the rest of these pictures show some of the scenery on the Parks Highway. It was a beautiful day! Beautiful white puffy clouds on a blue sky, gorgeous mountains in the background. We stopped at a little stream along the way and saw salmon dying and their eggs floating in the water. Then onto Talkeetna where we stopped for lunch. Talkeenta is such a neat little town - reminds me a lot of St Augustine. There's a picture of the two of us standing in front of a rail -- that's Denali behind us in that picture, from a rest stop on the Parks Hwy. It was cool that we were able to see it today, because we didn't in the Park.
